Paper over Board Binders produced by Imgen Manufacturing offer an economic, environmentally friendly solution to providing striking, four colour process images on a binder cover. Made from a single sheet of 2100 micron super smooth board, your printed and laminated sheets which we can print for you if you require, are used to form the outer cover and lining, or we can provide a plain white liner. We laminate printed sheets ( which would normally be supplied by our customer) onto the outer surface and lining, or we provide a plain white liner. The finished boards are then creased to give a highly durable spine and a ring mechanism is fitted.
Print Specification:-
As a guide for your costings we recommend 135gsm art paper with 10% (minimum 100 sheets) overs. The paper must be long grain, i.e. the grain must run parallel to the longest edge of the flat binder size, and be laminated avoiding paper curl. We recommend 12 micron OPP gloss laminate to the total sheet area. Matt laminate is acceptable but we warn against matt lamination of large areas of solid dark colours which experience shows have a tendency to mark, Silk laminate is considered to be a harder wearing compromise. Print should be aligned throughout the stack, be centered as far as possible, and be supplied untrimmed.
Our standard A4 & A5 plus tab sizes listed opposite are height x cover width x spine width, measuring both cover and spine to the centre of the spine crease. For printed covers 22mm turn over is needed all round.
Therefore print size is:-
HEIGHT:- Binder height plus 44mm
WIDTH:- Twice cover width plus 44mm plus spine width
